Pinspiration: Polka Dots and Red Skinnies

This series is all about fashion inspiration gathered from Pinterest (hence, the title Pin-spiration). In this series, I will take ideas from Pinterest and incorporate them into my own wardrobe. Follow me, Whitney Foreman, on Pinterest!

Hello loves!

Today's outfit of the day also doubles as a Pinspiration outfit! This Pinspiration is all about polka dots paired with colored skinnies. I've seen many people on Pinterest taking on this trend and I thought I'd try it as well. One of my personal faves is the navy polka dot top with red skinnies. From my own closet, I have a navy and khaki polka dot shirt and  have a pair of deep red skinnies. I personally like bigger polka dots. I think they make such a statement! And I also like to pair my camel boots with this outfit. Hope these looks inspire your own wardrobe!

Hello loves!

It is FINALLY cold enough in South Alabama to wear sweaters and fur! I'm loving this chilly fall weather! And not only is it a wonderful fall day, it is Gameday! The red skinnies are being worn for my Alma Mater as they play the Tennessee Volunteers today. Roll Tide!!

Piko Love

Piko Top, Scarf, & Betsy Pittard bracelets- Jilly B.; Jeans- Miss Me; Boots- Old Navy

Hey y'all!

Ok, if you have not tried piko tops yet, you are seriously missing out! These tops are the hands down the most comfortable thing I've ever worn! They come in a variety of colors and you will want them in every color once you try them! I added a colorful scarf to my black piko too today and paired them with jeans and camel colored wedge boots. And I couldn't be more comfortable! Style and comfort? I'd say that's a winning outfit! :)

Pinspiration: Leather/Moto Jackets

This series is all about fashion inspiration gathered from Pinterest (hence, the title Pin-spiration). In this series, I will take ideas from Pinterest and incorporate them into my own wardrobe. Follow me, Whitney Foreman, on Pinterest!

Hello Everyone!

Today's Pinspiration is all about leather/moto jackets! I LOVE leather jackets. They go with absolutely everything! Leather jackets can bring a bit of edge to a flirty dress or skirt. They can also be paired with jeans for a more casual look.

Moto jackets aren't what they used to be. From a variety of colors to stud and ruffle details, there's a leather jacket style out there for everyone! Check out these inspirations from my Pinterest page, and this beautiful blush leather jacket from Jilly B. Clothing!

Just a little Wine

Top- Charlotte Russe; Jeans- Rerock by Express; Wedges- Shoe Station; Smoky Topaz Ring- Pandora; Nail Polish- Essie, "Wicked"; other jewelry were gifts!

Hello Loves!

Yesterday's outfit of the day consisted of a wine colored top with cutouts and skinny jeans with black wedges. My nail polish is Essie in "Wicked", which I featured in my last "Current Obsessions" post. It is suppose to be an Oxblood color, but actually turned out darker than I expected. I still love it! Let me know what you think of this outfit! :)

Casual Two Different Ways

Hey y'all!

Today's Outfit of the Day is all about a casual, comfy look. I'm showing the outfit two different ways. The first look takes on a minimalist "less is more" vibe. I paired the outfit with a simple Alabama Forever necklace and would wear it to run errands around town or just on a day when I didn't feel like dressing too fussy.

Red Piko Top- Jilly B.; Jeans- Miss Me; Shoes- Shoe Station; Necklace- Alabama Forever "States of Love" from Jilly B.

The second look takes on a more polished put-together vibe. While it is still casual, the jewelry gives a totally different
feel to this outfit. I would wear this outfit to work or a casual meal out with friends.

Top, Jeans, & Shoes- same as above; Necklace and similar Wooden bracelet- Betsy Pittard Designs; Earrings and Stone Bracelet- Bama Artist Co-op & Vintage Treasures; ALL JEWELRY AVAILABLE AT JILLY B.

Which look do you prefer? Thank you for your input! :)

Manageable Mondays: Top Knot

This series is all about how to make those Mondays just a little bit more manageable. I will give little tips and tricks to help you on those Mondays when it seems like you just cannot get it together.

Today's Manageable Monday post is all about the top knot. I've had a request for a top knot tutorial so here it is!

Start with your hair in a high ponytail.

To tease my hair, I use a brush that has a combination of different bristles. (This is just my personal favorite. Use whatever works best for you!)

Divide ponytail into smaller sections and use brush to comb hair straight down. Do this to all sections ONLY on one side of hair.

Hair should look like this on one side.

And should be smooth on the other side (like so).

Now this next trick is one that I have found that works best for me. I use my finger to guide my hair around the ponytail holder. Hold your finger straight up behind your ponytail holder.

And wrap your hair around your finger. Make sure the smooth side of your hair is showing.

Take your finger out and pin ends of hair and loose pieces into place with bobby pins.

Spray it and you're done! Hope this makes your Monday that much easier!

Sweaters and Lace

Sweater- Bliss Boutique; Lace Shorts- Belk; Shoes- Shoe Station; Necklace- (Alabama Forever) Jilly B.; Earrings- not sure??

Today's outfit of the day is a transition into fall. This corral color is one of my favorites and even though it's a summery color, can be easily brought into the fall with this sweater material. For colder days I would pair it with a cami underneath and a maxi skirt or even jeans. The lace shorts are light and airy and good for days like today when it is still so hot in South Alabama.

I decided to curl my hair today, which takes quite a bit of effort with my hair! But I love the girly-ness of it! :) Hope you enjoy this outfit as much as I do!

Pin-spiration: Fur Vests

This series is all about fashion inspiration gathered from Pinterest (hence, the title Pin-spiration). In this series, I will take ideas from Pinterest and incorporate them into my own wardrobe. Follow me, Whitney Foreman, on Pinterest!

Good morning everyone!

Just in case you didn't know, I have a slight obsession with Pinterest... Ok more like a serious obsession... As in, I should probably go to rehab for it. I currently have almost 9,000 pins and will most likely reach 9,000 by the end of the day! So it's no surprise that most of my wardrobe inspiration comes straight from Pinterest. My latest inspiration comes from the increased popularity in fur vests. I LOVE fur vests! I already own these two...

Cream vest- not sure??; Black vest- New York & Company

And since they are coming back in style, here are some of my inspirations from my Pinterest board.

(All photos from Pinterest. Follow me for all sources!)

So with these images, I created a couple of looks using items from my current wardrobe to show how I want to carry this trend into the fall and winter!

Dress- Charming Charlie; Shoes- Jessica Simpson; Necklace- Not sure??

Sweater- Forever 21; Red Skinnies- Belk; Boots- Old Navy; Jewelry- Sorrelli

Hope you like these looks! And I hope you use this to inspire your own wardrobe! :)
